Visit our favorite spots on the western slope of the Baru Volano. Start with a morning hike through one of the breathtaking National Parks that surround the towns of Cerro Punta and Volcan, continue with a visit to Finca Dracula, an orchid nursery with over 2,000 species of these beautiful and interesting flowers, and finish your day with the magic of Sitio Barriles, one of the most intriguing and interesting archaelogical sites of Panama.
The towns of Cerro Punta and Volcán are located on the western slope of the Baru vulcano and surrounded by two of Panama’s most important National Parks of Panama, the perfect location for our morning hike. Plenty of birds and wildlife inhabit this forest amongst its abundant and exhuberant vegetation.
You will continue to Finca Dracula, an amazing private garden owned by the Maduro family, who pride themselves of having more than 2,000 different species of orchids in their property, plus a great variety of hummingbirds that visit them on the daily basis.
After a delicious lunch break at a local restaurant, your guide will take you to one of the most interesting Archaeological sites in Panama called Sitio Barriles. Magnetic rocks, magical paintings and a river that flows up to the mountain are only some of the amazing things you will find in the gardens of Doña Edna.
