Chiriquí has some of the best hiking trails in Panama and whether you want to challenge yourself by climbing the Baru Volcano, walk the famous Quetzal Trail or go on an easy hike in Boquete or Cerro Punta, you will enjoy amazing natural landscapes and great amounts of birds and wildlife, while exploring this beautiful area of Panama.
The province of Chiriquí has the highest mountains of Panama, with Baru Volcano peaking at 3,475 MAMSL (11,398 feet). Several important national parks of Panama are located in this province, like La Amistad International Park and the Baru Volcano National Park; therefore it has some of the best hinking trails with the most beautiful natural sceneries of the country. You will find a great diversity of plants and, especially, of birds in this area, which offers trails for all ages and physical conditions.
